Well, I was going to participate in Alaina's Keeping Creative Kitchens today, but as I've never done my own Thanksgiving food at all, I don't think I have anything to share. Plus, she shared our most creative tradition of writing thanksgivings on paper feathers. So, nothing from me for now.
I've been a bit under the weather this week with a draining cold bug. Hopefully I'm on the mend.
You know how I joked with some of you that I was moving to Siberia because of the cold, snowy winters? I'm not a novice at winters, but most of them are fairly mild. Not here. Already this week (remember this is just the middle of November) this city has had close to two inches of snow and we are currently under a Lake Effect Snow Advisory until tomorrow afternoon. What is this? I'm going to have to re-learn winter, I believe.

Steph, I'm so sorry that winter will be more vicious to you from now on (at least as long as you live in S.B.). It is going to be a relearning experience for Kyle here in U-town, as well. Since living in Rochester, he's been in a city, and thus hasn't experienced the cold, blustery, treacherous country roads that abound out here. The wind is horrendous these days. Hope the winter doesn't keep you down!
I cannot believe how much snow you have. We have NONE.
We got some of your "Lake Effect Snow" in Rochester, too. Two beautiful snows that stuck to the trees, fences, bushes, etc. It is like a wonderland when Steve and I walk in the early mornings with sounds muted by the fluffy white blanket.
It is crazy to have this much snow before Thanksgiving. As long as we dress for it and remember how to drive it in, snow can be rather charming!
Me and you both. *sigh* We can be in misery together!
