God's timing confuses and fascinates me.
I was very excited to receive a job offer today to be a part-time circulation assistant at a local library. I really wanted this job! It's far from prestigious, but it fits more into my interests than say, the flower shop I've been working at. I sent in my application for this job on Christmas Eve. I got a call for an interview later on the very day I "interviewed" at the flower shop and accepted a position there. I interviewed the day before I started at the flower shop and then I heard nothing. For several weeks now, I've waited. I'd hoped I might hear something by the time my trial period at the shop lasted. But I didn't. So, I stayed on. And now, this. I accepted this new job for several reasons, but I must admit I'm feeling a bit guilty about leaving the flower job. I'm kind of dreading going into work tomorrow morning and talking to Mr. Flower. How do I break it to him gently and not make it seem like I was deceiving him?

Seems like you can honestly say that you applied awhile back and figured you didn't get it because of all the time that passed. Tell him this just fits better with who you are and perhaps you can offer to help for a few weeks until he can replace you - if he can work with your other job hours.
These things happen a lot and there are a great many people that will be willing to work at the flower shop. thank the Lord for opening this job for you and move on knowing you did not intend to deceive.
Just be honest. Whether he wants to accept that is his choice. But I don't think you're in the wrong here, or have deceived him.
God's timing certainly can be bewildering! I'm excited you got the job you prefered. God is faithful.
I'm sorry about the tough situation. I hope it works out okay. I'm really excited that you were given the library job!
So glad you got this job! That's great news. Hope it goes well with the Flower Man Boss. I always hate telling a boss I'm leaving too. But it's business, not personal, right?
I'm so happy for you getting the job! And I'm glad it went well with Mr. Flower. :) Talk to you soon!
sounds like it went well. Yeah!
