Tonight the moon looked like a dried lemon wedge.
Tonight for about two minutes I was that annoying driver who is in the left turn lane, but has the right turn signal flashing. (I didn't realize my mistake until I'd turned and realized the turn signal didn't automatically click off. Oops.)
Tonight I drove back to my family home for the last time as a single girl.
Today J reminded me I'm loved and happily anticipated in his home.
This past week, today, tonight, this coming week, the emotions are skittering along the surface even in the midst of knowing that it's a good thing my home is shifting cities.

Glad to hear you made it back safely. Are you ready to make some great memories together?
love yuz!
I'm so excited for you but this post made me want to cry a little...I'll miss you!!!
Moving away will be hard in some ways but you will be surprised at how quickly home will become the place you and Jeremy share. You have a very special family and many loving memories to cherish. See you in 5 days. Praying for you and Jeremy.
I love your thoughtful reflections. While I'm not the one moving, yesterday I was reminded that my place is suddenly about to be "our place". Not that it's bad, but it's totally different.
It's hard to develop new ways of operating and organizing when I'm so used to my ways that always worked very well for me. Maybe those ways won't work for us. Which is strange, but true.
Congratulations, Stephanie. Today was the big day and I thought of you throughout. Sorry I couldn't be there. Glad I can see you in a couple of weeks. Enjoy your new home together. You'll always remember it with fondness once you've moved on. Eventually it will stop seeming like you're playing house. :)
