Should I be disturbed?

As you know from previous posts, in my afternoons I work with 2nd-4th graders. Today, two of them (of their own accord and totally separately) asked me if I was pregnant! I've kind of let it roll of me because these were 3rd graders. But seriously, I'm in decent shape. I work out fairly regularly. I've lost a little weight since getting married and I'm probably 20 lbs lighter than I was a couple years ago. I know I have a little tummy, but come on, most women do--it's just part of our build. What do you think, should I take offense? Or should I just laugh it off and blame it on the sweater I was wearing today?

they're third graders. i wouldn't worry about it. did you tell them you just got married or something that would trigger this inquisition?:) blame it on the sweater. you've been working out more than the rest of us, so i know you look good.:)

Or is there any possible chance...? Maybe they know something you don't know yet!

I'm with Liz. chalk it up to the age! Oh the comments I've had from students! Laura still laughs about one boy who told me last year that 50 year olds just sit in rocking chairs, etc etc and the look on his face when I said I was 51!

It's totally the 3rd graders. Their teacher probably just read them a story in which a lady has a baby or is pregnant. So don't get rid of the sweater.
